Prior to establishing Elmhurst Solutions, whilst with steel fabricators the Mabey Group, Peter was responsible for the former Soviet Union, Indian Sub continent, plus several SE Asian and European countries. Key achievements included  successful identification and engagement of in-country representatives, first ever bridge sales to Georgia, Tajikistan and Taiwan, trebling of sales to Pakistan as well as negotiating, selling, supply and installation of the Group’s longest ever Delta bridge.

Peter was a Senior Manager in the Overseas Revenue Consulting Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He spent over 15 years in the independent inspection and testing industry, mainly designing and implementing pre-shipment inspection programmes on behalf of governments, frequently working closely with multi and bi-lateral donors.

In addition to extensive overseas travels, Peter has lived and worked in Switzerland, Taiwan, Zambia and the former Soviet Union. A member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Peter has used his logistics skills to establish commercial operations in developing or transitional countries, preparing and disseminating information to facilitate trade and encourage foreign investment.

Educated at Charterhouse School and Brunel University, Peter is a Russian and French speaker and also member of the Chartered Quality Institute and Institute of Mechanical Engineers. A member of the Advisory Board of The European Azerbaijan Society, Peter chairs the UK Government’s “Central Asia and Transcaucasus Business Information Group” (CATBIG), administered by British Expertise.  He has also recently been elected onto the Steering Committee of AidEx, the global humanitarian and development aid event.
